Looking Glass Community Services offers a range of programs and services that may be creatively combined to serve children, teenagers, adults, and families. Our highly qualified mental health professionals evaluate each young person's needs and recommend programs and resources to help.
Counseling
Looking Glass provides comprehensive counseling services to Lane County children, teens, and adults. Specialized treatment programs help youth dealing with abuse, delinquency, addiction, and mental health issues.
Counseling Program
Outpatient mental health treatment helps children, youth, adults, and families who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. Services are provided at locations throughout Lane County.
Adolescent Recovery Program
Outpatient substance abuse treatment is provided for youth ages 11-21, and their families. We take an individualized, strength-based, solution-focused approach to help clients and families meet their unique goals.
Homeless Youth Services
Homeless youth living in perilous situations can find safety and assistance through emergency shelter and crisis counseling. These services help youth get their lives back on track and provide the chance to reunite with their families.
These programs are made possible thanks to Looking Glass' partnership with the Human Services Commission, City of Eugene, City of Springfield, and Lane County.
Station 7 Program
Emergency shelter, family reconciliation, wraparound supports, and 24-hour help hotline are provided for homeless youth, ages 11-20. Project Safe Place offers youth safe locations to go when they feel afraid or have run away from home.
Rural Program
Our Rural Program, in Cottage Grove, has a drop-in center offers youth food, clothing, and other basic needs such as internet and job search materials. Street outreach offers homeless youth information and referrals, advocacy, and support for those who live in rural areas of South Lane County.
New Roads Program
The drop-in center offers youth food, clothing, showers, and other basic needs such as internet and job search materials. Street outreach offers homeless youth information and referrals, advocacy, and support. Education is offered through New Roads School for homeless youth.

PEER Shelter
At Looking Glass’ PEER Shelter we are a 24 hour accessible low-barrier shelter for youth ages 16 – 24 years old who are unhoused or otherwise in crisis. PEER shelter emphasizes harm reduction to meet our clients’ basic needs and assist them in moving towards stabilization.
Housing Services - Looking Glass housing programs rapidly connect families and individuals experiencing homelessness to permanent housing through a tailored package of assistance that includes the use of time-limited financial assistance and targeted supportive services. Housing programs are an important response to homelessness as they help those living on the streets or in emergency shelters solve the practical and immediate challenges to obtaining permanent housing and linking to community resources that enable them to achieve housing stability in the long-term.
Education and Vocational Services
Looking Glass’ highly-trained staff of educators provide a variety of educational opportunities for teens who are homeless, have behavioral health issues, and for whom traditional education is inadequate for their needs.
Riverfront School
This accredited school offers academic instruction and vocational training for youth ages 11 – 21. The program includes the Independent Living Program for youth in foster care, the Job Training Program to support career goals, and the Lane-Metro Youth Corps a hands-on natural resource program.
Center Point School
This registered alternative school offers academic services in a therapeutic environment for middle and high school aged youth with emotional, neurological, and/or behavioral issues. Highly trained and professional staff offer expertise in mental health treatment, special education, and counseling.
Riverfront Career Center
We support youth 14 – 24 years old to attain their education and employment goals. The Career Center provides access to other Looking Glass or community services, connects youth with training and certification opportunities related to their long-term career goals, and offers paid work experiences and financial literacy training.
New Roads School
The New Roads School is an alternative educational program for middle and high school students ages, 11-21, who are homeless, or at-risk. Students are able to earn transferable school credits or prepare for GEDs.
Independent Living Program
ILP assists current and former foster youth ages 16 – 21 to gain skills to help them transition into independent living. The program supports youth to create goals toward education, housing, employment, financial literacy, and other areas important to each youth.
Residential Services
Regional Crisis Center
Residential, subacute mental health treatment services for youth of all genders, ages 12 to 18. The length of stay for youth can vary based on clinical need and treatment progress. Upon successful completion of the program youth will discharge to a community based setting.
